Which vanilla cake recipe sounds better?

first one is for a Moist Vanilla Cake:





2 cups sugar


4 eggs


1/2 cup of butter


2 cups flour


2 tsp. baking powder


1 tsp. vanilla


1 cup milk





this one is for a Vanilla ';Chiffon'; (don't know what that means) cake:


1 cup all-purpose flour


1/2 cup sugar


1 1/2 tsp. baking powder


1/4 tsp. salt


4 eggs, seperated


1/4 cup milk


1 tsp. vanilla





I really need some helpp. My first cake made from scratch =)


which one do yout hink would come out tasting great?

If it's your first cake, then the first one will be much easier to do, since it's a batter cake. Chiffon cakes require the eggs to be separated; the egg whites beaten stiffly; and the dry ingredients folded into the egg whites. They often require a tube pan too (never greased). They're similar to Angel Food cakes, but do use the egg yolks tooWhich vanilla cake recipe sounds better?
cake number one. I've eaten many a vanilla cake in my day, and nothing is worse than a dry cake. Not saying that number two would be dry, but i know that number one would be ';moist';
The first one sounds good to me. I like a moist cake with a glass of cold milk.
I think number 1 would be best. It is easier, and chiffon cakes take quite a lot of work.
