Can you add bananas to a bulla cake recipe?

Jamaican Bulla Cake Recipe





Ingredients





1 1/4 c brown sugar .


1 tsp baking powder .


1/4 tsp salt .


1/2 tsp baking soda .


1/2 tsp cinnamon .


2 lbs flour .


1/4 tsp ground nutmeg .


2 tbsps butter





Directions





Step #1 Melt butter, set aside for a min, meanwhile add water to sugar to form a syrup,only add enough water to saturate the sugar.


Step #2 Combine all the dry ingriedients with a wooden spoon, making a well in the middle add syrup %26amp; butter %26amp; slowly fold together to form a dough.


Step #3 Flour a board %26amp; knead for 5 mins, cut dough into 4 inch circles, roll out into 1/8 inch thick, place on a greesed baking sheet in a pre-heated oven.


Step #4 (350 degrees).


Step #5 Bake for 25 mins or until Bullas rise.


Step #6 This is a basic Bulla cake recipe, you can add other ingriedients like ginger root or chocolate.
