Try this Spice and Orange Frosting Sauce from Recipelink:





In a small saucepan, whisk together 3/4 cup orange juice, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. Bring to a boil over moderate heat, whisking constantly. Cook for 2 minutes or until mixture is thickened, whisking constantly. Stir in 1 teaspoon grated orange rind. Cover surface with plastic wrap and refrigerate until completely chilled. Transfer the orange mixture to a large bowl. Carefully fold in 1 container (8 ounces) frozen and thawed reduced-fat whipped dessert topping. Makes about 4 cups.Recipe of icing in my orange chiffon cake?
This is from a Tangerine Chiffon Cake Recipe, however, it has the substitutions for oranges so it may be easy to adapt! Also, the recipe recommends using oranges when tangerines are out of season.








Tangerine Glaze

INGREDIENTS





1 cup(s) confectioners' sugar


1 teaspoon(s) grated tangerine, substitute orange peel


5 teaspoon(s) tangerine juice, substitute orange juice





DIRECTIONS





With spoon, mix 1 cup confectioners' sugar and 1 teaspoon grated tangerine or orange peel. Stir in 5 to 6 teaspoons tangerine or orange juice until glaze is spreadable.
