Yummy icing recipe for angel food cake?

preferably a white/buttercream/vanilla??????Yummy icing recipe for angel food cake?
well generally angel food cake doesn't need icing, try it with some strawberries that have been masurating in some sugar and lemon juice, Angel food cake is supposed to be light and airy. or try it with a chocolate ganaush, chocolate chips melted with some heavy whipping cream.Yummy icing recipe for angel food cake?
I make a drizzle with powdered sugar and lemon juice. Use a cup of sugar to about a 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice. Mix in juice slowly until the icing is the consistency you want. For extra flavor use a little lemon zest. Or for vanilla, use powdered sugar milk and a little vanilla.
My mother in law had angel food cake last week and she took whipped topping and mixed it with drained crushed pineapple. It was really lite, fresh and delicious!
Actually, I'm fond of a rich chocolate ganache glaze drizzled over slices of angel food cake and garnished with fresh strawberries! But, for a vanilla flavor, you can try melting good white chocolate mixed with butter and chambord (raspberry liquor) to create your ganache and pouring over slices of cake. Another variation is to whip heavy cream and mix with sweetened strawberries or raspberries and split the cake in half, spooning the mixture on both the middle and top layers. A traditional butter cream can be made by blending butter with milk and powdered sugar and vanilla.
