I am baking a Mickey mouse cake for my sons 1st birthday, I have a recipe for an 8'; Victoria Sponge and have bought a 5'; cake tin to make his ';ears'; however I cant find a recipe for a cake in a cake tin this size - help!!!!Hi, I need a recipe for a 5'; cake tin any sponge recipe will do,its so i can make ears for a Mickey Mouse cake?
Just make a double batch of the batter, and distribute it at even levels between the three cake pans.

The cake pans cost more than the batter. Just make cup cakes out of anything you have left.Hi, I need a recipe for a 5'; cake tin any sponge recipe will do,its so i can make ears for a Mickey Mouse cake?
Small sponge cake

Serves 6

Preparation time less than 30 mins

Cooking time 1 to 2 hours

Ingredients

6 medium eggs

340g/12oz self-raising flour

340g/12oz butter

340g/12oz caster sugar

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.

2. Lightly butter and line the base of an 18cm/7in cake tin with greaseproof paper.

3. Cream the butter and sugar until smooth and pale in colour and then gradually beat in the eggs.

4. Sift the flour and fold into the mixture, a little at a time. Pour into the cake tin, level off the mixture with a palette knife and bake for about 90 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean.

2 ozs SR flour

2 ozs sugar

2ozs margarine

1 egg

Divide between the 2 tins. If the cakes rise a little in the middle cut them flat when they are cold.

If you have just one tin, do one at a time.
why don't you use a recipe for a 10'; and put half in each tin if you have 2 of put half in then the other half
