Baking soda and baking powder are not interchangeable in this case, sorry. You need to go buy the baking soda. Or you could try leaving it out altogether, but I don't recommend that since it's purpose is to serve as a leavening agent.Making a funnel cake recipe. how do i substitute the freaking baking soda!?
You could try to substitute something in it's place but I wouldn't try it because I have a friend that use to like to make things but never had one or two of the called for ingredients and substituted other things in their place. The food he made was horrible. He would give it away to his friends all the time. Probably because it always turned out so badly. Do yourself a favor and get the right ingredients.
yes yes yes!!!
baking soda + cream of tartar = baking powder
with your ingredients, i'd use 2 teaspoons of baking powder and leave out the cream of tartar. but if you already added it, that's okay. it will turn out fine.
Mix equal parts yeast, salt, and cinnamon. The chemical reaction that will take place serves basically the same function as baking soda.
