Converting a cake recipe into a larger pan?

I am actually a pretty decent cook and I've made my share of some very nice cakes over the years but this one is really important(a wedding cake) that I want to be sure I get just right. Does anyone either know exactly how or where to go online to convert recipes into larger amounts. The plan is to use 3 different pans, all square-one 14';, one 10'; and one 8';. Obviously the 8'; is fine, but what conversion would I use to take a typical cake recipe and make into the larger pans? I found the recipe I think I am using, which calls for it going into 3 8'; pans, am I correct in taking that recipe and mulitiplying roughly by 5?Converting a cake recipe into a larger pan?
